WHAT: A Brief History of Hats! – Sip ‘n Learn
Jan and Judie will entertain you with hat history, folklore, construction, design, trends and how to choose the perfect hat! Join us to see a collection of hats from the 19th and 20th century, 45 years in the making. Find out the origins of materials and traditions associated with hats over the last two millennia or so. Get the lowdown on how and why different styles were designed, by whom and for whom, throughout history. Wear your favorite hat and/or bring a hat you may have questions about. Also on display, antique wooden puzzle hat forms, vintage decorating materials, hat pin and hat box collections and more. We will tell you how to adjust a hat that is too big, or too small. You will take away fun facts to share with your hat wearing friends and a better understanding of how to choose the best hat for you.
