WHAT?
Grow Benzie hosts weekly potlucks on Tuesday evenings throughout the winter and spring including workshops, game nights, and current topical conversations led by individuals or in a panel format.
This year, the Benzie County Water Festival's theme is “Pipes,” relating water issues that are ongoing throughout the state of Michigan, such as municipal water supplies, sewer pipes, fossil fuel pipelines, and even straws.
The panelists for the discussion will include: Don Brady (Michigan Department of Environmental Quality’s Water Resources Division), Nate Geetings (Benzie, Crystal & Interlochen Pumping Service), Kaye LaFond (Interlochen Public Radio), Dan Smith (Village of Beulah), Kelly Thayer (FLOW for Water), and students from Frankfort Elberta Area Schools.
